Sophie Lichaba formerly Sophie Ndaba is a South African actress and businesswoman best known for acting as Queen Moroka for about 20 years in the soap Generations.

Early Life , Background And Childhood

Sophie Ndaba Lichaba was born in 1972 in Soweto, Gauteng. After coming back to South Africa from Zimbabwe where she did her O levels, Sophie had made a decision to take her life to another level and was determined to make it a resounding success, which is when she became a photographic model and later moved on to Acting.

She attended high school in Zimbabwe.


Sophie Lichaba is married to businessman Max Lichaba. She has two children namely Rudo Ndaba and Lwandle Ndaba.

She was married to actor Themba Ndaba (1998–2007) and Bishop Keith Harrington (2011–2013).


Sophie Ndaba (Lichaba) has acted in a few television series such as: Class of 92, supporting roles in Thlaranthlope and Yizo Yizo 1. This was complemented by her cameo appearances in Egoli 1992 and later Soul City. Sophie made her big screen debut in the industry by featuring in hit movie called Gog Helen in 2013.

In 2016, she was guest judge in the final Miss South Africa 2016 beauty pageant, venue in the Carnival City´s Big Top Arena, Gauteng, South Africa.

In 2015/2016 Sophie played Harried on the SABC3 casino telenovela High Rollers and in May 2016 she was signed to Isidingo to play Nkadimeng, mother to the characters Lerato and Kamogelo.

She is the owner of event management company called Sophla Events.
